Biography:

Dr Jacqueline Alderson is a Lecturer in Biomechanics at the University of Western Australia, School of Sport Science, Exercise and Health. Dr Alderson has strong research interests in high performance sport and clinical biomechanics and is passionate about the use of motion capture in the arts and entertainment. In addition to holding grants from high performance sporting bodies she has also attracted funding from the Australian Council for the Arts. She is a consulting biomechanist to a range of external bodies, including the International Cricket Council and Princess Margaret Hospital for Children and was a member of the International Olympic Committee’s Biomechanics Team at the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
