Mission Statement


  • To enable the integration of theoretical concepts with professional practice in industry.

  • To develop the generic skills and competencies necessary for gaining employment and managing the transition from student to employee.

On successful completion of the course the student will be able to:

  • demonstrate an understanding of the requirements of employment in a course related workplace.

  • integrate theoretical concepts with professional practice.

  • understand the employment process.

  • apply the practical skills of self auditing, job searching, networking, job application preparation, interview techniques and negotiation skills to that process.

  • identify transition issues relevant to, and the cultural change required by, the new employee.

Australian Association of Exercise and Sport Science (AAESS) Graduates are eligible to apply for membership as an accredited Exercise Physiologist, through fulfilling the requirement of supervised, relevant practicum as part of the Bachelor of Science, (Exercise and Health Science) degree (providing all other requirements are met).
