Bomb Threat


Telephone Bomb Threats

  1. Stay calm.
  2. Write down exact wording of the threat.
  3. Note time of call.
  4. Do not hang up, keep caller talking.
  5. Ask someone else to contact Campus Emergency (Dial 6488 2222) using another phone. Also notify Chief Warden - Rod Robinson (6488 2372)
  6. Write down other any information such as how the caller sounds, background noise and any other relevant information.
  7. Await instructions from an authorised person.

What to Look For

  1. Anything that is out of place.
  2. Anything that can't be vouched for.
  3. Anything that looks suspicious or matches the description contained in the threat.
  4. Report details to Chief Warden - Rod Robinson (6488 2372) or Campus Emergency (6488 2222).

What if Something Suspicious is Discovered ?

  1. Do Not Touch the object.
  2. Note the appearance, sound and exact location of the object.
  3. Persons should evacuate the immediate area, at least 150 meters.
  4. When evacuating, if possible, leave all doors and windows open in the immediate vicinity.
  5. Phone or tell the Chief Warden (Rod Robinson - 6488 2372). Do not use mobile telephone.
