Bomb Threat
Telephone Bomb Threats
- Stay calm.
- Write down exact wording of the threat.
- Note time of call.
- Do not hang up, keep caller talking.
- Ask someone else to contact Campus Emergency (Dial 6488 2222) using another phone. Also notify Chief Warden - Rod Robinson (6488 2372)
- Write down other any information such as how the caller sounds, background noise and any other relevant information.
- Await instructions from an authorised person.
What to Look For
- Anything that is out of place.
- Anything that can't be vouched for.
- Anything that looks suspicious or matches the description contained in the threat.
- Report details to Chief Warden - Rod Robinson (6488 2372) or Campus Emergency (6488 2222).
What if Something Suspicious is Discovered ?
- Do Not Touch the object.
- Note the appearance, sound and exact location of the object.
- Persons should evacuate the immediate area, at least 150 meters.
- When evacuating, if possible, leave all doors and windows open in the immediate vicinity.
- Phone or tell the Chief Warden (Rod Robinson - 6488 2372). Do not use mobile telephone.
